Terms and Conditions for the initiative "1% 3a Transfer Cashback Promotion"
These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern the “1% 3a Transfer Cashback” Promotion (the “Promotion”). By participating in the Promotion, you (the “Client”) agree to be bound by these Terms, in addition to Alpian’s General Terms and Conditions.
The “Alpian 3a” is the pillar 3a solution provided by the Fondation romande en faveur de la prévoyance individuelle liée – 3a (the “Foundation”), operated by lemania-pension and accessed through the Alpian app. The pillar 3a assets are held by the Foundation, not by Alpian, and the Alpian 3a remains governed by the Foundation’s regulations and contractual terms, which these Terms do not modify. The Promotion is offered and the Reward is paid by Alpian.
1. Promotional period
1.1. The Promotion runs from Monday, 19 October 2026, 00:00 CEST to Monday, 30 November 2026, 23:59 CET (the “Promotional Period”), unless it closes earlier under Section 4.4.
1.2. Only transfers whose Transfer Request is made during the Promotional Period qualify for the Promotion (see Section 3). Eligibility depends on the date of the Transfer Request, not on the date on which the assets are received by the Foundation, subject to Section 5.
2. Eligibility
2.1. The Promotion is open to all retail clients of Alpian who hold an active account at any time during the Promotional Period, including clients who open their account or their Alpian 3a during the Promotional Period.
2.2. To participate, the Client’s account must be in good standing, fully verified, and free of any legal, regulatory, or administrative restrictions or disputes during the Promotional Period and up to the time of reward distribution. Accounts that are locked, suspended, or under review when the Reward is paid are excluded.
2.3. The Promotion is offered in addition to any other Alpian offer, promotion, or program from which the Client may currently benefit; participation in such offers does not affect eligibility for this Promotion.
2.4. The Promotion is not open to Alpian employees and staff members, corporate clients, or joint accounts.
3. Qualifying mechanics and eligible 3a transfers
3.1. To qualify for the Reward, a Client must, during the Promotional Period, instruct the institution holding their pillar 3a assets, whether a bank, a pillar 3a foundation or an insurance company (the “Previous Provider”), to transfer these assets to their Alpian 3a (the “Transfer Request”). The date of the Transfer Request is the date on which the Client gives this instruction, as shown by the Foundation’s records or by the Proof of the Transfer Request (see Section 5.4). No minimum amount applies for the purposes of the Promotion.
3.2. “Eligible 3a Assets” means the pillar 3a assets transferred under a Transfer Request made during the Promotional Period, in the amount actually received by the Foundation and credited to the Client’s Alpian 3a, after any fees, costs or deductions applied by the Previous Provider. Changes in value after receipt, including market value fluctuations, do not affect the Eligible 3a Assets.
3.3. Transfers from several pillar 3a accounts or policies, held with one or more Previous Providers, are aggregated, subject to the cap set out in Section 4.2.
3.4. The following do not count towards the Eligible 3a Assets:
Contributions paid into the Alpian 3a, including payments from the Client’s Alpian account.
Transfers between the Client’s Alpian 3a accounts or portfolios.
Transfers of vested benefits or other second-pillar assets.
Any transfer that is rejected, reversed, or returned to the Previous Provider.
Transfer Requests made before 19 October 2026, 00:00 CEST or after 30 November 2026, 23:59 CET.
4. Reward structure and limits
4.1. Qualifying Clients receive a cash reward equal to 1% (one percent) of their Eligible 3a Assets, as defined in Section 3.2, subject to the conditions in Section 5 (the “Reward”).
4.2. The Reward is capped at CHF 250 per Client, corresponding to Eligible 3a Assets of CHF 25’000. Eligible 3a Assets above CHF 25’000 do not generate additional Reward.
4.3. The aggregate amount of Rewards under the Promotion is capped at CHF 50’000 (the “Pool”). Rewards are allocated in chronological order of the Transfer Requests.
4.4. If the Pool is reached before the end of the Promotional Period, as assessed by Alpian on the basis of the expected Rewards, the Promotion closes early. Alpian will announce the early closure via in-app communication and email; the announcement is linked to an absolute timestamp recorded in Alpian’s systems (the “Closure Timestamp”). Transfer Requests made before the Closure Timestamp are honored in full, even if the resulting Rewards exceed the Pool. Transfer Requests made after the Closure Timestamp are not eligible.
4.5. The Reward includes an offset of the total expense ratio (TER) of the BlackRock funds in which the Alpian 3a is invested. It is paid as a single amount calculated under Sections 4.1 and 4.2, independently of the TER actually charged. The fees and the TER charged on the Alpian 3a are not modified. The Alpian 3a carries a management fee of 0.60% per year, plus the total expense ratio of the underlying funds of approximately 0.15%, plus VAT, as set out in the Alpian 3a pricing. No fee is charged for the transfer in. The Promotion is co-funded by BlackRock, the manager of the funds in which the Alpian 3a is invested, under a commercial partnership agreement with Alpian. BlackRock’s contribution is passed on in full to qualifying Clients through the Reward; Alpian retains no part of it.
5. Pending transfers and reward conditionality
5.1. The Reward is only payable once the transferred assets have been received by the Foundation. As the processing time of the Previous Provider is outside the Client’s control, a transfer received after the end of the Promotional Period remains eligible under the conditions of this Section 5.
5.2. To count towards the Eligible 3a Assets, each transfer must meet one of the following conditions:
Transfer received: the assets are received by the Foundation by Sunday, 20 December 2026. No further action is required from the Client, subject to Section 6.1.
Transfer pending: if the assets have not yet been received, the Client must contact Alpian (e.g. via the in-app chat) and provide Proof of the Transfer Request by Sunday, 20 December 2026, 23:59 CET (the “Proof Deadline”). Once the evidence meets Section 5.4, Alpian registers the transfer as pending (a “Pending Transfer”) and confirms this to the Client.
5.3. For transfers meeting one of the conditions in Section 5.2, the Reward is calculated as follows, subject to the cap set out in Section 4.2: Reward = Eligible 3a Assets × 1%. A transfer that meets neither condition (e.g., the assets are received after 20 December 2026 and no Proof of the Transfer Request was provided by the Proof Deadline) does not count towards the Eligible 3a Assets. If no transfer meets either condition, the Reward is CHF 0.
5.4. For the purpose of Section 5.2, “Proof of the Transfer Request” means a copy of the signed and dated transfer form sent to the Previous Provider, a postal delivery confirmation or written acknowledgement of receipt from the Previous Provider, or a written confirmation from the Previous Provider showing that the transfer was instructed during the Promotional Period, or equivalent evidence accepted by Alpian at its discretion.
5.5. No cut-off applies to Pending Transfers: a Pending Transfer remains eligible regardless of the date on which the assets are received by the Foundation.
5.6. If the Client closes their account with Alpian, or transfers their Alpian 3a to another provider, at any time before the Reward is credited, the Reward is forfeited and is CHF 0.
6. Validation and payment
6.1. After the Proof Deadline, Alpian validates each participating Client’s transfers on the basis of the Foundation’s records and of the Proof of the Transfer Request provided under Section 5. Alpian may ask any Client for Proof of the Transfer Request, including where the assets have already been received; if it is not provided within the period indicated by Alpian, the transfer does not count towards the Eligible 3a Assets.
6.2. A final validation is performed in March 2027 on the assets received by the Foundation. The Reward, calculated under Section 5, is credited in Swiss Francs (CHF) to the Client’s CHF account with Alpian by 31 March 2027. The Reward is not credited to the Alpian 3a, is not a pillar 3a contribution and does not qualify for any pension-related tax deduction.
6.3. If the assets of a Pending Transfer have not been received by the Foundation at the time of the final validation, the Client’s eligibility remains reserved and the Reward on those assets, calculated under Section 5 and within the cap set out in Section 4.2, is credited after they have been received.
6.4. The Reward is personal and non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for other benefits.
7. General terms
7.1. Alpian reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Promotion or these Terms at any time, with prior written notice to affected Clients where commercially reasonable. Modifications or termination will not affect Rewards for qualifying Transfer Requests already made, except in cases of abuse, fraud, or regulatory requirements.
7.2. Any attempt to manipulate, abuse, or game the Promotion, including circular transfers (such as moving pillar 3a assets out of an Alpian 3a to transfer them back), backdated or falsified Proof of the Transfer Request, or other simulated flows, results in disqualification from the Promotion and forfeiture of any Reward; Alpian may recover any Reward already credited in such cases.
7.3. Alpian does not provide tax, legal, or investment advice, including on whether a transfer of pillar 3a assets suits the Client’s situation. Before initiating a transfer, please review the terms, exit fees, and potential surrender losses of your current provider or insurer. Terminating a pension insurance policy may result in capital loss and the forfeiture of insurance coverage. Any fees, costs, or losses at the Previous Provider arising from the transfer are borne by the Client. The Reward may be considered taxable income under Swiss law; Clients are solely responsible for declaring it in their personal tax returns and should consult a tax advisor for guidance specific to their situation. The Reward is shown in the Client’s annual Alpian tax statement.
7.4. By participating in the Promotion, the Client acknowledges that Alpian processes their personal data in accordance with applicable Swiss data protection law and Alpian’s Privacy Policy, for the purposes of administering the Promotion and providing banking services. This includes information on the Client’s pillar 3a transfers obtained from the Foundation, such as the dates and amounts received, and any Proof of the Transfer Request provided by the Client; the Client authorizes the Foundation to share this information with Alpian for these purposes.
7.5. These Terms are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Geneva, Switzerland, unless otherwise required by mandatory legal provisions.
