Verbier and Alpian link up to form a unique partnership
Verbier and Alpian, Switzerland’s first digital private bank, are teaming up to forge a unique partnership – inspired by their shared values of passion, innovation and excellence. Their joint ambassador, Verbier resident Géraldine Fasnacht, perfectly embodies the spirit of this partnership.
Like the many residents of Geneva with second homes in Verbier, Geneva-based Alpian – Switzerland’s first digital private bank – is making a long-term home for itself in this resort here in the Valais. It is entering into a partnership with Verbier Tourisme, the regional tourism marketing organisation, that will involve offering bespoke services from temporary offices in Verbier. This unique model will begin operating in the spring. The partners have a great deal in common, sharing a dynamic style and brand and a desire to shake things up. Logically, their clientele is also similar: both attract Swiss people but also expatriates living in the region.
In recent years, Verbier has seen a real shift in the people it attracts: from having largely been a tourist resort, it is now also bringing in people who want to stay longer, working and living their everyday lives in the area. This trend has been helped along by the surge in remote working and has enabled a new ecosystem to come into being, including coworking spaces and relocation services. The future of this resort, which until now has been seen primarily as a popular tourist destination, is being shaped around the men and women who live there, and who have a genuine demand for personalised banking services. ‘Alpian has a comprehensive range covering all bespoke wealth management needs, personalised support and a full-service retail banking portfolio, all integrated within a single application. This makes it the ideal partner with which to address this population, enabling people to live a unique, modern experience,’ declares Simon Wiget, Director of Verbier Tourisme.
‘We are constantly seeking to innovate, be that in our banking activities or in our partnerships. Working with Verbier Tourisme gives us something fresh and unique that will help raise the profile of our company. For us, it is an opportunity to give Alpian a second home in Verbier, in the Valais region, where we hope to achieve lasting growth,’ says Alpian CEO Schuyler Weiss. Géraldine Fasnacht, the joint ambassador for Verbier, is also delighted by this partnership: ‘There is something magical about seeing both my partners come together, and this confirms that all three of us are aligned when it comes to our values and the desire to move forward together.’
